Welcome to the Jackson Civic Theater Homepage

Members of the Jackson Summer Theater performed another original play written by our playwright extraordinaire, Carolyn Pelo, at the Jackson Library! The event was coordinated by Executive Board member Roxanne Southcott-Roberts! The play, entitled, "Holiday Tale", told the story of the metamorphosis of the great nephew of Ebenezer Scrooge! The "spirits" who visited him enlightened him about the value of our current day holiday traditions, which include: Santa Claus, the story of Christ's birth, Chanukah & Kwanzaa.

The performance included veteran performers from the JST. The sound engineers were Bob Taibbi & Kevin DiGesu & the playwright (Carolyn Pelo), directed & produced the show!!

Also in the month of December, the Jackson Summer Theater coordinated their efforts with an optimist club fundraiser: Victorian Christmas. This event was held at the Red Cedar Village & included such "child-centered activities" as Christmas crafts, storytelling (Carolyn Pelo's 2001 Christmas play: "Maui Christmas"), and live Christmas carols. Everyone wore original Victorian Costumes. Also included of course, was a visit with Santa, Mrs. Clause, the Ice Princess & assorted elves.
